MSM Spotlight:
Seniors Jarrett Winters Morley and Ripley Lucas-Tagliani

Ripley (BM ’20, Classical Voice) and Jarrett (BM ’20, Musical Theatre) speak about their respective productions Women and Morningside taking place on October 25 and November 21. They also share thoughts on the challenges of putting together a show, and about life after graduation.
The students are two of six at MSM this year producing a “Student Project in Performance,” selected through an application process.

TZHS Alum (‘16) Makes History at Manhattan School of Music

This fall, the Manhattan School of Music will be producing the work of one of its Musical Theatre students for the first time in its 100-year history. That student is Tappan Zee High School alumnus Jarrett Winters Morley (‘16), a senior in MSM’s Musical Theatre Conservatory. His original musical, Morningside, takes the stage on November 21 at the Ades Performance Space.

The show went on at Tappan Zee High School last weekend, minus the oversized Nazi flags.
But there were still swastikas on stage in "The Producers" — both on armbands, and in a production number where the cast danced in the form of a giant swastika, a la Busby Berkeley.

ORANGEBURG — When Mel Brooks' "The Producers" opens at Tappan Zee High School on Friday, it'll have a Nazi playwright, a major production number called "Springtime for Hitler" and an actor playing a director playing the fuhrer for laughs.
But some South Orangetown parents drew the line at swastikas.
